EDIT: She took it down. Thanks you guys for helping out <3333!!

So according to a friend who talked to dA staff, it's now totally allowed to call people out on art theft in your journal ^o^/ And since I'm rather infuriated, I'm going to do just that!

(From [link] )

I've sent her notes about this shit already. She copied a lot of stuff from Reboot: aspects of character designs, the Digimon umbrella OST covers, right down to directly copied text from the first episode of Reboot. Attempted to copy the evolution videos by using the same music and digivice sequence, and the glowy rings from the ultimate evo screens.

She apologized, claimed "until you pointed it out, I really didn't notice", "that was total coincidence", "my friend that didn't read Reboot wrote those parts of the chapter!", "my friend designed that character", "you don't know how sorry I am. I shall fix this. promise."
And then took down the offending stuff, changed the copied episode quotes, and I was happy and thankful.

So in good faith I figured that was that and she would stop pulling this shit, even though I didn't believe her excuses. She's what, 17, she should know better.

Now I get bullshit like
"wow, so i used the same pose as you, seriously?
you can't copyright a pose
and using the same pose is the only thing i did."

REALLY? [link] ???? THAT'S NOT TRACING?

Sorry, I'm really mad. This is like.... the fifth time something like this has cropped up from her.

Help me out by reporting her? :/ I'm really fucking sick of this. I'm not asking you to go and bash her, seriously, don't do that. Just click "Report Deviation" and link to [link] as the original source. You can link to the gif [link] as well in the comments.

Normally I wouldn't make journals for this stuff and would take care of it myself. But this just does not stop and I've already tried to deal with her myself. I need help.

Um no offense (seriously no offense) but that's kind of a common pose. Of course this one is traced, but had she not traced it and just referenced it (because lets face it any artist that's still improving will look for art of the type of pose they want to draw if they can't find IRL reference, I do it all the time if I'm struggling on a pose I can't seem to get right without reference) then yes, she is kind of right. You can't copyright a pose.

Even if you customized the pose and no other art had it, if the person has a digital camera and wants to take a picture of themselves in that pose and then trace themselves or reference themselves, it'd be perfectly allowed. We're all humans and can make the same poses and there's only so many ways a body will bend.

Now this one... that one is ESPECIALLY common. I stand exactly like that IRL frequently, and I bet many others have as well.

I know you can't copyright a pose. I was pissed because it was completely traced.
It's one thing to stand the same, it's another to have the exact same proportions, clothing folds, finger placements, face layout, etc.
In any case, she admitted to tracing it.

Well at least she took it down =w=
There was one girl not too long ago who kept on insisting that :iconpsyconorikan: had stolen the pic she posted from her. When the thief was confronted about it she kept saying over and over again "I gave all my proof to the admins and justice will prevail" (No I'm not kidding she really did say that) and eventually she got banned, but she got on =psyconorikan Messenger and kept harassing her claiming that she was the victim here.
The nerve of some people XD

Geez! The least they could have done in this situation was to ask you for permission for the original line-art, actually trace it, and then reference you for the whole thing. People are retarded these days.

Go, Xuza! I'm backing you all the way. And I have a good lawyer if it comes down to it again. xD

while looking through her gallery.. some of her older artwork looks like it's been traced from 'The Lion King'. I might be wrong, but some of the drawings looks like they been traced... =\ her current style doesn't match TLK's style at all..

but I'm glad she deleted the image. ^^
