So my somewhat recent obsession has been mixing up official Digimon into evolution lines of fan-made ones. I don't know why I like it so much, I just do. Digimon has so much evolution line variety and flexibility. And it's a neat new challenge to design an evolution line after one form. And sometimesss fitting in an alternate-attribute recolor if it fits. But only if it doesn't have an alternate-attribute already. None of this seven million Renamon evo line recolors. There's an official virus and vaccine evo line for her already >_>
Anyway.
My most recent love is Witchmon. Who appears on a grand two cards, and nowhere else. I've always loved her design. Really want to cosplay her for Halloween one year but... I have too many cosplay plans as it is. Loved her even more after reading episode two of Sanctum.
I don't really love her evolving into Bastemon though. *shrug* I just don't. LadyDevimon fits better, imo.
What I really want to do, is use BlackGatomon as her Rookie. I was going to justify this because ring-less Gatomon is a Rookie (can Armor evolve... though they messed it up when they let her DNA evolve). Except BlackGatomon doesn't have a ring in the first place >_> However, in Digimon Digital Card Battle, BlackGatomon is a Rookie, so there's that loophole.
I know it kinda messes up the evolutions before her, but whatevs Nyaromon can 'warp' evolve into her.
Ugh even though this is Digimon I feel like I'd be stretching it too far to do that, even though it's what I'd rather do.
I don't really want to design a black cat Digimon, it would just end up looking like Irbimon fell into soot
(Kidding, I'd try a bit harder than that).I really like the idea of playing with black cats and witchcraft for her evo... line... well really just her Mega.
In my head, her evolution to LadyDevimon has a slightly more catlike scrap of fabric over her shoulder xD
idk what her Mega would be named. I already used Hecate for Kozamon's mega (no regrets!).
Umm.. she'd probably have a Tamer that's into wicca or something. They'd both be free characters for #TheDigimonAgency in the end.
Should I just trip up BlackGatomon's power levels and make her the Rookie? She's kind of perfect for it...

But I guess, Digimon never really made perfect sense with evolutions xD
Mixing fan-made and official Digimon is fun. I have lists of official Digimon my fan-made ones would evolve into. It's never going to make it to the story itself but it's just a fun thing to do as I go through the wikis.
I know eh? xD To me it makes them feel more "official" if they can be tied into canon evolution lines somehow. I've got them posted on Viral (though I guess the site's been down for weeks, oops?). Irbimon and Poemon have them listed too, even though they were never posted on the Reboot site.
