Dear deviantART,
Please stop sucking and making me have to refresh every page like 50 times before it actually loads. It makes it very difficult to give people page views. This has been going on for over a week and I'm kind of really annoyed now.
Haha it took me so long to realize why I was suddenly getting lots of llamas then I remembered dA starts warning about people's upcoming birthdays, now.
Man I am so bad at comics omg why did I join #
TheDigitalCup. At this rate I don't even think my opponent is working on their entry. And I have to have my stuff done by Thursday since I have plans for the whole of my birthday weekend. And I just started. omg. Argh. WHY ARE COMICS SO HARD. I don't like drawing the same character over and over! That's why I was so attracted to stop motion as opposed to traditional animation >.<;
I don't think anyone forgot but HEY
here's a reminder about the Digimon Reboot launch contest! 8D
I think it would even out the odds of my character hating the cold and your character getting slowed by possible water splashes. xDD
Don't feel bad. Comics are much harder than they seem. That's why I never manage to take one very far.
I think you're the only animation student I know that prefers Stop Motion. I'm a traditional 2D all the way (even if it is a painful process, I'll admit) and everyone else I know is all about 3D. I actually always had the impression that Stop Motion would be the hardest one, but then again I only had one experience, with chess pieces and a desk lamp as our only (sketchy) light source.
And yay birthday plans
Also, no redrawing everything, no 3D rigging (a bitch to do omfg), not a huge amount of post-production compared to 2D... lots of things I hate doing, I don't have to do in stopmo xD;
Stopmo is really new for us, I think we really only started having a class for it two years ago. It's only one semester out of a year and just teaches the basics. Then if people are interested from that they really only can do more on their own time.
Yeah oh god math + art = no, to me xD The only reason I was able to do the rigging assignments in 3D class was because our teacher gave us very, very step-by-step screen shots to work from, in addition to the lessons. So all we had to do was copy what he was doing >.>
2D is still really nice to do xD But maybe I'm just saying that because I'm usually fine with my first pass, I couldn't stand reworking an animation multiple times like many of my classmates do /wrists
I justify my lack of math skills with "I went into Arts for a reason!", so when people mix the two it breaks my flow
Mmm, now that I think about it, I'm usually fine with my first pass and I rarely have mistakes to fix. I think watching so much animation growing up gave me a kind of natural intuition for it.
And I just realized I tend to spam your comments and ramble on about completly unrelated things xD Sorry~
safari all the way!
