Dear deviantART,
Please stop sucking and making me have to refresh every page like 50 times before it actually loads. It makes it very difficult to give people page views. This has been going on for over a week and I'm kind of really annoyed now.

Haha it took me so long to realize why I was suddenly getting lots of llamas then I remembered dA starts warning about people's upcoming birthdays, now.

Man I am so bad at comics omg why did I join #TheDigitalCup. At this rate I don't even think my opponent is working on their entry. And I have to have my stuff done by Thursday since I have plans for the whole of my birthday weekend. And I just started. omg. Argh. WHY ARE COMICS SO HARD. I don't like drawing the same character over and over! That's why I was so attracted to stop motion as opposed to traditional animation >.<;

I don't think anyone forgot but HEY here's a reminder about the Digimon Reboot launch contest! 8D

Haha. I've been working on two panels so far. Is it okay if we fight each other in a forest oasis thing?

I think it would even out the odds of my character hating the cold and your character getting slowed by possible water splashes. xDD

I don't think location matters. A forest oasis thing is fine by me :P We don't necessarily have to have the same setting in either of our comics. I don't really...have a setting in mine atm xD;

Well my connection here is sucky anyway, so all pages take a while to load. I noticed that DA usually takes the longest or just stops loading but I can't really point it out as a problem while I'm away.

Don't feel bad. Comics are much harder than they seem. That's why I never manage to take one very far.

I think you're the only animation student I know that prefers Stop Motion. I'm a traditional 2D all the way (even if it is a painful process, I'll admit) and everyone else I know is all about 3D. I actually always had the impression that Stop Motion would be the hardest one, but then again I only had one experience, with chess pieces and a desk lamp as our only (sketchy) light source.

And yay birthday plans :D Which remind me I should star thinking about my own birthday...I guess if you have plans for the weekend you won't be visiting the interwebs often, but I'll leave you happy birthday note anyway :)

I think in my program, the amount of people interested in stop motion for their thesis increases every year. But I mean, we only really got the equipment for it two years ago >.> Unfortunately, there's only four spots available (due to equipment), and quite a few more than four interested in the positions. I think in a lot of ways it might be harder, but it just ties in so well with sewing and crafting things that I just fell in love with the idea of puppets xD
Also, no redrawing everything, no 3D rigging (a bitch to do omfg), not a huge amount of post-production compared to 2D... lots of things I hate doing, I don't have to do in stopmo xD;

That sounds really nice. We don't actually have Stop Motion animation in our program, probably because it's not a "main" type of animation and my course has a small animation program (we cover the basics of virtually everything related to media). And I agree, 3D rigging is a bitch and overall it feels very methodic and mathematical for me to enjoy. There's just something about 2D for me, even knowing full well (and experiencing) that it's a complete slave work. I'm always atracted to the hardest way of doing things, I guess I'm crazy like that xD

It's okay, it's good to be crazy for the things we love xD
Stopmo is really new for us, I think we really only started having a class for it two years ago. It's only one semester out of a year and just teaches the basics. Then if people are interested from that they really only can do more on their own time.
Yeah oh god math + art = no, to me xD The only reason I was able to do the rigging assignments in 3D class was because our teacher gave us very, very step-by-step screen shots to work from, in addition to the lessons. So all we had to do was copy what he was doing >.>
2D is still really nice to do xD But maybe I'm just saying that because I'm usually fine with my first pass, I couldn't stand reworking an animation multiple times like many of my classmates do /wrists

I'm hoping we can implement Stopmo in the future. My course is still very recent so every year I'm watching it grow and evolve.
I justify my lack of math skills with "I went into Arts for a reason!", so when people mix the two it breaks my flow :P
Mmm, now that I think about it, I'm usually fine with my first pass and I rarely have mistakes to fix. I think watching so much animation growing up gave me a kind of natural intuition for it.
And I just realized I tend to spam your comments and ramble on about completly unrelated things xD Sorry~
